Tuesday is Bret's day off. The boys and I love our Tuesdays with daddy, especially since we only get them for another month and a half.
For those of you who don't know, Bret has been accepted into the police academy (Bret has wanted to be a cop ever since he was a little boy). Bret starts the academy in January...he will also be working full time. This means we will only get to see him for a little bit on Saturdays and then all day Sundays.
Yesterday was one of our 'daddy' days. We went to toys r us to get ideas for Christmas, and then we went to University mall where did a little shopping. We also took Cort to build a bear, where he made "puppy" the jazz dog. Cort loved making puppy and giving hom a bath. Mom loves that puppy is an extra special dog who keeps Cort safe from the "scary shadows" in his room, so that he doesn't need to come into our room in the middle of the night.
We also went out to lunch with grandpa and grandma Smith. After lunch we played at Provo mall where we all enjoyed the train ride, and Cash especially loved the play area!
We got to visit grandpa Smith at work and then ended the day visiting with grandma Swenson. It was a good day, and we all enjoyed each others company.

I love the Jazz puppy, very cute! Looks like Cort loves him lots too. Glad you guys are able to get some family time in before Bret's crazy schedule starts.
