Pumpkin Carving Time!

Last night our family carved pumpkins.  This was Cort's first time carving pumpkins.  I don't remember why, but for some reason we didn't carve pumpkins last year.  And the year before he was only a few weeks old.

At first he was a little hesitant to stick his hand inside the ooey gooey pumpkin, but then he really got into it.

Cort picked out the pattern for his pumpkin, and then helped me pick my pattern.

His of course is Mickey Mouse, and mine is the kitty.

We didn't get any pictures of daddy's, but he carved two: an alien and some bats.
After we finished carving pumpkins, Cort and I read all of our Halloween books.  We had a great night and can't wait to go trick-or-treating this Saturday.
